An awesome albeit shorter hike to the summit that provides spectacular overlooks from several vantage points. The wooded trail is well maintained, shaded and less than 2 miles from the parking lot to the cliffs and back. The parking lot could probably hold a dozen or so cars. I went at 6am and was the only one there, making the experience that much more tranquil. Parking lot is gravel and there is no admittance cost.

Looking for that Midwest, picture prefect spot that feels like you’re in the mountains? Gibraltar Rock is a perfect spot for an engagement or elopement session. Just outside of Madison, your cell phone reception might be very limited. The hike is easy to medium difficulty, but not too many people like devils rock.

This is an underrated Wisconsin hiking spot. Great view and great fall color, and good pathways. Parking can be tough in peak season.

Fee: You need a State Park day or annual pass for your car to park. I highly recommend going here! It’s a somewhat short hike, but the views are awesome!
